VIRTUAL TOUR

On National Gonzaga Day, January 24, 2013, President Thayne McCulloh introduced the Hemmingson Center to Zag Nation. Watch this quick overview video that highlights some of the major features of this state-of-the-art building.

More than a beautiful new building, the Hemmingson Center is an opportunity for Gonzaga to transform the delivery of a contemporary Jesuit education, one that is relevant and rigorous. Not since College Hall was built has one new facility promised the potential to truly animate the center of Gonzaga’s campus, bringing together students, faculty, staff and the community to foster collaboration and activities that support social, academic and spiritual growth.

Replacing the COG

Throughout the last two decades, the undergraduate enrollment at Gonzaga has doubled while overall enrollment has increased at an even greater rate. And while the COG — Center of Gonzaga — has served the University admirably for nearly 60 years, etching its place in the hearts of students, faculty and staff, it is an antiquated facility that cannot meet the new and demanding needs of a rapidly expanding campus community. Retiring this campus landmark to make way for the new University Center will provide our growing student population with a 21st century cutting-edge environment that will take Gonzaga’s integrative Jesuit and Catholic education experience to the next level.
